How-to-Measure – Outside Recess Roman Blinds

How to measure for Roman Blinds that will be fitted onto the wall outside of the window recess.

  1. To measure the width, decide on how far either side you would like your Roman Blind to sit. We recommend 7.5cm for each side, depending on any obstructions.
  2. To measure the length, first determine how far above the window you would like your Roman Blind to sit. We recommend between 15cm and 20cm.
  3. Finally, agree on how far below the window you would like your Roman Blind to sit. We recommend around 10cm – 15cm.

If you have a sill that comes out further than 5cm, use this as your finishing point.

Tip! Be aware of the stack size of the Roman Blind when it is pulled up when deciding on where to fit your blind to ensure the window is not partially covered.
