Blind Safety Regulations

All of our blinds adhere to the UK’s safety regulations, so you can be confident in our products. You’ll find the exact specifications we follow for Roman, woodslat, Venetian and vertical blinds below.

Roman Blind Safety Regulations

Our Roman blinds are made to British Standard Law EN 13120 Child Safety for Blinds.

• Sidewinder headrails include a fly wheel safety device as standard, whereby if any force is exerted on the chain, it will pop out of the headrail.
• If the folds of the Roman blind are longer than 20cm, we also use cord breakers for the rear cords.

While we adhere to strict guidelines to ensure the safety of our customers, please keep all cords out of reach from children to minimise the potential for accidents.

Wooden Venetian Blind Safety Regulations

We manufacture our wooden slat Venetian blinds to British Standard Law EN 13120 Child Safety for Blinds.

• We supply a cord-retaining cleat with applicable labelling as necessary
• Child safety toggle included
• We provide a cord consolidator on all raise and lower cords
• Fitting and operating instructions are supplied

We follow strict British safety guidelines to minimise risks and accidents. Please keep all cords away from children to mitigate the potential for accidents.

Venetian Blind Safety Regulations

We manufacture our Venetian blinds to British Standard Law EN 13120 Child Safety for Blinds.

• We supply a cord-retaining cleat with applicable labelling as necessary
• Child safety toggle included
• Safety rings supplied on all raise and lower cords
• Fitting and operating instructions are supplied

While our products follow UK safety regulations, you can help to further prevent the risk of accidents by keeping cords away from children at all times.

Vertical Blind Safety Regulations

We manufacture our vertical blinds to British Standard Law EN 13120 Child Safety for Blinds.

• A child safe recess fixing cord/chain tidy is supplied in white
• Wand operated vertical blinds are inherently child safe

Along-side safety devices, please ensure that any cords and chains remain out of the reach of small children to reduce the risk of accidents.
